A Chair Is Still A Chair…

I noticed this chair portray on the Architectural Digest Residence Present and it struck a chord. Entitled “A Chair Is Nonetheless A Chair…” by Mark Gleberzon, the work is a part of an ongoing collection of chair-themed work. Gleberzon defined that the primary mannequin he used for his chair collection was a chair taken from his mother and father’ home about 20 years in the past.

Mark says, “I noticed over time that simply as a chair is a supportive construction, my mother and father have been greater than ‘supportive’ of my being an artist. My chair work are thus my most private collection of labor. This specific portray has been additional enhanced with the lyrics to the music ‘A Home Is Not A Residence,’ a basic written by Hal David with music by Burt Bacharach and most popularly sung by Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick and Luther Vandross.”
