Illusions of a Small World, an exhibition by KNOL, was a challenge impressed by The Metamorphosis of Franz Kafka. Uncovered throughout Dutch Design Week 2010, Illusions of a Small World was a mixture of the reside set up with a whole lot of actual bugs (grasshoppers, crickets, cockroaches, worms and so on.) and the corresponding kitchen the place the bugs have been reworked into tasty treats. KNOL says “we dared the guests to style and take into consideration this meals as a brand new risk for the close to future.”

A play of bilateral notion.
On one hand arousing a sense of domination; wanting down on a miniature metropolis inhabited by totally different insect colonies.
We really feel huge.
Then, then again the overwhelming expertise of being positioned in the midst of this group.
Shadows crawl over, intimidating, drawing us inside their world.
We really feel small.
Lastly, the last word check. Are we able to overrule once more?
