New Perpetually Stamps from the USPS will honor 12 pioneers of American industrial design:
The designers embrace Peter Müller-Munk, Frederick Hurten Rhead, Raymond Loewy, Donald Deskey, Walter Dorwin Teague, Henry Dreyfuss, Norman Bel Geddes, Dave Chapman, Greta von Nessen, Eliot Noyes, Russel Wright, and Gilbert Rohde. In case you don’t acknowledge a few of these names you may acknowledge what they designed: from Air Drive One, to Radio Metropolis Music Corridor, Fiesta dinnerware and the typewriter.
A dedication ceremony on the Cooper-Hewitt Nationwide Design Museum in New York Metropolis will happen tomorrow, Wednesday June twenty ninth. The stamps go on sale tomorrow, too.
