I discovered quilter Erin Wilson someplace on the interwebs and I immediately realized that she was onto one thing. Her latest collection of quilts explores geometric shapes, many harking back to structure and objects.
She explains, “My pure state is intricate shade, sample, and grid, and this work developed from a want to peel away these layers, with tips of two values (darkish and lightweight), silhouette shapes, and a unfastened, easy format.”
Every quilt is one-of-a-variety, made with hand-dyed cotton material, batting, and thread.
