Japanese artist Haroshi creates three-dimensional sculptures out of used picket skateboard decks. An avid skateboarder, he started amassing damaged skateboard elements in hopes of creating them into artwork. Through the years he has developed a way the place he carves stacks of previous skateboard decks and cuts them into picket mosaics. He then assembles the mosaics into the chosen type by which the uncovered layers reveal numerous patterns.
The canine sculpture (above) and the wheel sculpture (under) are a part of the opening for the brand new HUF x Haroshi x DLX collaboration. Haroshi used damaged skateboards ridden by numerous DLX staff riders to make the brand new sculptures.
