Sottovoce by Huub Ubbens is presently on show contained in the Public Gardens Indro Montanelli in the course of the LED Mild Exhibition Design 2010, Milan via January 10, 2011.

Situated in entrance of the seventeenth century Palazzo Dugnani and Antonio Rosmini’s statue and a fountain, the venture approaches mild in a conceptual approach by sharing a loop of 20 minutes of textual content, recited by Italian actors. These suggestive and analytical essays written by 5 illustrious authors are heard by means of matte-black cones that resemble outsized lampshades, through which one stands at midnight in self-reflection.

The 5 essays are: “In Reward of Shadows” by Junichiro Tanazaki, “De Umbris Idearum” by Giordano Bruno, “Mild” by Ettore Sottsass and an interplay of two voices studying fragments from “Mild in its inventive manifestations” by Hans Sedlmayr and “Mild of Issues” by Antonella Anedda. Every provides a unique reflection on life: anthropological, poetical, metaphysical and historic.
